Now unlocking the BlackBerry bold 9650 and Pearl 3G 9105 – Sprint 9650 Comes Factory Unlocked! Verizon’s will not!

BlackBerry Pearl 3G 9105

BlackBerry Bold 9650
We’re now unlocking the BlackBerry Bold 9650 that Sprint has just recently released!  If you’ve been keeping up with our Blog, we posted back in January our first successful unlocking of the Verizon Blackberry Bold 9650 (before code-named the Essex Tour II 9650).   The good news for you Sprint junkies is that just as they do for most of their World phones, the BlackBerry Bold 9650 should come unlocked before it hits the shipping trucks and the store floors! Just like when the Tour 9630 was released, I’m sure there will be the occasional BlackBerry Bold 9650s that are NOT unlocked.  In that case, please feel free to check out our BlackBerry Bold 9650 unlock code checkout page.  You can find out if your BlackBerry is unlocked by following the steps in our previous entry “How do I know if my Blackberry is Unlocked?

From our previous entry on unlocking the BlackBerry Bold 9650, I think it is safe to say that the Verizon BlackBerry Bold 9650 will NOT come unlocked.

As for the BlackBerry Pearl 3G 9105, although it hasn’t hit the floors yet, we are so confident that we’ll be able to unlock this phone that we’ve launched it on our unlock code store as well.  The checkout page can be found here for your BlackBerry Pearl 3G 9105 Unlock Code!

You’ll most likely have to contact Claro and ensure that your BlackBerry Data is activated. If that doesn’t work, you’ll need to contact their customer support to get the APN information so you can update it onto their servers while you’re traveling.

Hi. Am trying to unlock my Sprint BB bold 9650. Some one did try to unlock it once bt I doubt he knew what he was doing. I don’t think it is hardlocked but before I try again I need some help. How do I unlock it? Am trying to use it in Zambia with Artel OR MTN but it is locked to Sprint in the US. How do I go about unlocking it?
Also do you provide temp unlock codes? Say 24hours so I know this really works?

You can check out the links provided in the post. We provide free instructional tutorials to check if your BlackBerry is already unlocked. The Sprint 9650 should come factory unlocked for the most part. Good luck! Also, there is no such thing as “Temporary unlock code”. Once your BlackBerry is unlocked, it is unlocked forever unlike the software unlocks for the iPhone.

  • Curious says:

Question: can you unlock a Verizon Blackberry 9650 phone, so that i can use it on the Sprint Network?

    • admin says:

Sprint is a CDMA network; they do not use SIM cards. This means that you will not be able to use it on the Sprint Network.

  • B.V.Raman says:

My question is,” Will the Unlocked Blackberry 9650 from Sprint be programmable to work on any other CDMA Network? I know it is open for all GSM Networks. My Question is what happens to the Phone’s CDMA Capability?”

    • admin says:

      Hello,

We do not deal with any CDMA reprogramming. These methods are border-line to very illegal depending on the nature of your programming.
