It is very easy to unlock the BlackBerry Pearl 8100, 8110 and 8120. The video above will show you exactly how to unlock BlackBerry Pearl 8120, but keep in mind that the same instructions apply for all BlackBerry pearl phones. First you will need to get your BlackBerry Pearl 8120 unlock code which can be obtained from our unlocking store. After you have your unlock code, you will be all set to unlock BlackBerry Pearl 8120 (or the 8100 and 8110).

You can begin by inserting any SIM card into the phone.  After the phone powers on, you will have to go to Options and then advanced options and finally to SIM card. After you’ve gotten there, you will see something at the top that says “SIM Security Disabled”. You can ignore this message as it does not mean anything. Since the Pearl has a Suretype keypad, the instructions will be slightly different than that of a BlackBerry with a full QWERTY keypad.

Type in the letters MEPPD. This will bring up the personalization menu. You will notice that the Network is active. This means that the phone is locked. If the network says Disabled, then your phone is already unlocked and you have nothing to worry about!

If your network is active, type in MEPP2. You will be asked to enter in the Network MEP Code (# Left).  That number represents the number of attempts you have to enter in a successful unlock code before it becomes permanently locked to its original network carrier. DO NOT try to guess the code. This will leave you with a permanently hard locked phone.  After you have purchased your unique unlock code from our unlock codes store, you can go ahead and enter in the 8 or 16 digit unlock code.  Press enter when you have entered it in and you will receive a code accepted message.

That’s all there is to unlocking the BlackBerry Pearl 8100, 8110 and 8120!
