Somehow, someway, this phone ends up being imported all over the world! The myTouch 4G unlock code is one of our most popular unlock codes purchased from our store. This phone is one of the easiest phones to unlock following the same method as all other GSM HTC smart phones. If you’ve ever unlocked a GSM HTC phone before, then you know the instructions and can quickly skip to the bottom to see the instructions to unlock myTouch 4G.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with cell phone unlocking, by unlocking your myTouch 4G, you’ll be able to use this phone on any GSM network carrier around the world. T-mobile operates on 1700/2100MHZ 3G and 4G  frequencies. This is considered to be the AWS band which very few carriers use around the world today. If your desired wireless network carrier does not support the 1700mhz frequency (T-mobiles 3G/4G receiving frequency), you will not be able to use the 3G and 4G frequencies.  Regardless, the phone is great on GSM and an amazing phone to take around with you while you travel the world roaming free!

A couple AWS carriers in Canada that an unlocked myTouch 4G will work on is Mobilicity and WIND Mobile. Both networks operate on the 1700mhz frequency.

The instructions on how to unlock myTouch 4G can be found below. It’s a simple three step procedure that can be accomplished from anywhere in the world.

1.) Insert a SIM card that is not from the network carrier that your phone is locked to (most likely a non-T-mobile SIM Card)
2.) Enter in your unlock code for myTouch 4G.
3.)  Press Unlock or Ok.

After you’ve done that, you should receive a message that says something like Network unlock Successful.  After that, you’ll be able to use that phone on any GSM carrier you wish!
